Argumentative Essay Topics on Smartphones and Mental Health

Argumentative Essay Topics on Smartphones and Mental HealthIn this article, I will discuss some argumentative essay topics on smartphones and mental health. The question is, how can this innovative technology to help you to deal with your inner issues and to get the better outcomes from life? You know, we all know that people who have suffered an emotional trauma or a traumatic life experience have less self-confidence and are less able to face and accept challenges in life. If you have suffered a traumatic life experience, you should think about mobile phone for your mental health, as this is a very affordable and easy to use and mobile device. The question of whether lecturing students about the role of technology in education and mental health is unfair is due to the fact that the experiences of the people who are lecturing have been stunted by this technology. It is also unfair to require lecturers to log on to the internet for five or six hours every day so that they can be able to answer their students' questions. In most cases, this will only lower the value of the lecture and will not be able to help students adjust to the fast-paced world of the internet. And why must lecturers be always connected to the internet or have to log on to their mobile phone at the end of the day? Is it because we were all insecure then and feel that every student needs to know about their online browsing history or needs to be using some sort of spyware program on their phones? No.Therefore, lecturers need to be able to log on to their laptop or desktop, still have their individual, portable and secured access, and be able to connect their laptops to the internet, and they can study or answer questions the same way they would have been able to do in the past. This is an alternative to lecturing and it is very convenient and useful. And this will provide your students the same kind of benefits of digital learning that is available in the most expensive university campuses and private colleges. All you have to do is to ensure that you have enough time and that you are used to using computers. As of today, there are various different smartphone categories available, from the cheapest to the most expensive, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The most popular is the Blackberry Curve. You can't go wrong with Blackberry mobile phones, but only if you have more than one.If you want to buy a cheap handset that is right for you, it is advised that you buy a Blackberry RIM Bold and get it upgraded as and when you need to. The software is constantly improving and the latest Blackberry software will work just as well with the latest smartphone of BlackBerry as it would with any other phone. These phones also have an interactive media player which allows you to download music, free games and other apps. The amazing thing about Blackberry phones is that these are also capable of improving your intellectual ability. Your children can be taught about social a nd behavioural communication, maths and science. The internet will allow you to communicate with them via email, social networks and text messaging, and this will encourage them to be creative.

Mass. MBA Sample Essay Answers

Mass. MBA Sample Essay AnswersHaving recently completed a Mass online application and made the decision to apply to the prestigious undergraduate law schools of the Boston area, I was put to a bit of a dilemma. Would the Mass. sample essay answers that I had included on my application lend credence to the fact that I might be qualified for admission or, would they lead me to the conclusion that I needed to write a whole new application? Based on the three Mass. sample essay answers and the advice I received in the following paragraphs, it appears that there is a wealth of insight to be gleaned from the three specific essays. The four samples for which the Mass. MBA sample essay answers were useful are:There are some instances when I would agree with the Mass. MBA sample essay answers. For example, I agree with the second Mass. MBA sample essay answer and that it addresses concerns I had about the admissions process and an admissions officer's ability to communicate with a foreign lang uage. However, when presented with another Mass. MBA sample essay answer that was in a different tone, I did not believe it conveyed a deep concern or commitment to the application process as the other was. In addition, when I arrived at a second Mass. MBA sample essay answer, I did not believe that the essay represented a deep and thoughtful reflection on the application process or an applicant's ability to communicate with a foreign language. Thus, it appears that the Mass. MBA sample essay answers may not be the specific course or program essays that you would have written. While there is definitely a 'mood' that you may express when drafting an application essay, it is also important to consider how the Mass. MBA sample essay answers differ from the candid opinion expressed in a primary source or from one's experience. In addition, keep in mind that regardless of what your goals are, it is a personal endeavor and your purpose in the application process should be something that is meaningful to you. With this in mind, what my Mass. MBA sample essay answers accomplished for me was that they helped me to better examine my own opinions and specific application questions. The Mass. MBA sample essay answers do not necessarily represent the common elements of an application essay. The first Mass. MBA sample essay answer suggests that an admission officer who is of a high caliber is likely to be a highly qualified and experienced candidate. This comes from the sentiment expressed by the second Mass. MBA sample essay answer. Yet, the third Mass. MBA sample essay answer seems to suggest that a communication expert, such as an admissions officer, may not be qualified for the position. This may be a standard conclusion that an admissions officer would come to or they may convey a more personal or strong emotion about the process and about the individual receiving the admission. The Mass. MBA sample essay answers also suggest that an applicant is most likely to be rejecte d if there is an unanswered question or a lack of communication about an application or the decision. In addition, a mass application or any type of mass application, unless it is perfect and and confident, cannot be accepted. Finally, an admissions officer who is skilled at communication may choose to create an essay on a totally different topic and go from there. The fourth Mass. MBA sample essay answer suggests that a selection committee may use the Mass. MBA sample essay answers to help them with evaluating the applicant. Thus, the Mass. MBA sample essay answers are helpful in identifying any critical issues that the admissions officer may encounter and in providing a solid foundation for evaluating an applicant. When writing your Mass. MBA essay and planning to apply to an undergraduate program, bear in mind that Mass. MBA sample essay answers can provide a solid foundation for your application. When writing the Mass. MBA application essay, make sure that you have fully consider ed the advantages and disadvantages of applying to the University of Massachusetts-Boston.

Losing is Never Really Losing free essay sample

The room was silent for a moment while we all finished our lunches. It was the group’s third day in New York City and it was the day that everybody was going to present their speeches to the group. Circular tables filled the room and surrounded the podium that had been placed up front so everybody could see it. â€Å"Let’s start sharing our speeches!† said the Military Youth of the Year representative. One by one we approached the podium, some nervous, some not. I was one of the nervous ones. Those of us who were sitting were watching and listening intently to the story of each youth that went up. The energy in the room was positive, safe and it solidified that we were in this process together. Suggestions were given to each youth by both their peers and mentors. When I stepped to the podium and gave my speech, one of the mentors suggested, â€Å"When you’re on stage, try not to use you hands to talk or to tap the podium,† and another said, â€Å"Nobody knows what your speech is going to be, so if you forget something, it’s okay. We will write a custom essay sample on Losing is Never Really Losing or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page † This feedback to lead everybody in the group to success and built a trust that brought us together as a group. The next day was competition day and it was time to prepare for the event that was to unveil the new Northeast Youth of the Year.I walked through the giant ballroom doors of the hotel and into a blue tinted room. The name â€Å"Boys Girls Club† was projected on the walls as music played that reminded me of the Hunger Games. The ballroom was filled with chairs and people as media staff ran around theroom, making sure everything was ready for the event. As I stood behind the stage in New York City representing the Vermont state Youth of the Year, I felt a sense of nervousness and excitement. It had been four long days that lead up to this moment, and my new friends and I were ready to find out who was going to be named the new, Northeast Regional Youth of the Year. Fifteen of us stood in acramped space behind the stage that kept getting smaller and smaller with everybreath taken. Nerves filled the room as sweat glistened on the faces of not only us youth, but our mentors as well. With nervous smiles on our faces, we waited with high anticipation and when my new friend from New Jersey, Alexia’s name was called to the stage, joy filled the room. I didn’t win, but I couldn’t have felt happier for Alexia. One of the girls who had become my sister after only four days, had just won the name of the Northeast Regional Youth of the Year. Three essays, three letters of recommendation, more drafts of a speech than I can count, and many trainings lead me and fifteen other youth, to those incredible moments in New York. When I arrived in New York City, I didn’t realize that fifteen strangers were going to soon become my brothers and sisters after only four days and that’s what made losing so easy. But after endless days of work, training, and exploration, nothing was more important than my new family. Through all of my experiences, including visiting ABC studios, British Airways, and flying to Georgia for a leadership training, those fifteen amazing youth were by my side. They went through the same process that I did, and supported me as I supported them. The Youth of the Year process is very difficult and requires hard work, dedication, and drive, but through this process I have learned more about myself than I ever thought possible at the age of seventeen. I learned that my drive for success is never ending, but more importantly that to me, losing is never actually losing.

Mideival Cooking essays

Mideival Cooking essays Cooking in the medieval times was performed on very big scale, and food was cheap and plentiful. Foreign goods had to be bought at the nearest large town. Food trade was a primary business. It was also a way of determining class. The nobles would eat meat, white bread, pastries, and drink wine. This sort of diet caused many health problems, such as skin troubles, digestive disorders, infections from decomposed proteins, scurvy, and tooth decay. A peasant would eat porridge, turnips, dark bread, and in the north they would drink beer or ale. Women were the expert cooks, and they seasoned their food heavily with pepper, cloves, garlic, cinnamon, vinegar, and wine. They paid close attention to the appearance of their meal. For instance, they might spread the feathers of a peacock that they are serving. Also, if a the eggs of a batter didnt make it yellow enough, they would add saffron (saffron is orange of yellow powder obtained from the stigmas of the saffron flower). Meat was expensive, so it was considered a luxury. This made butchers prosperous. The most common and least expensive was sheep. They would also eat birds: gulls, herons, storks, swans, cranes, cormorants, and vultures, just to name a few. Animals were cut up immediately after killing and salted to be preserved. Most meat was boiled because it the animals were wild, and the meat was sure to be tough. Also, almonds were often cooked with the meat for flavor. Fish was also popular. Part of this was because the church required that you eat fish on Fridays. Fish was often cooked in ale. People spent more on bread and grain then anything else, even though England had a national bread tax, which fixed the price of bread. Pastries were expensive because sugar was an import. Because medical opinion advised that fruit shouldnt be eaten raw, it was preserved in honey and cooked into pastries. Almonds were often cooked into pastries as well. Fruit was more wild back ...

Managing Financial and Information Resources Coursework - 1

Managing Financial and Information Resources - Coursework Example Gross profit margin showed an upward trend throughout the period; it increased from 57.76% in 2011 to 63.31% in 2013. This implies that the company earns more cents per dollar of revenue, and this is favourable because more profit is generated to cover non-production costs. Operating profit margin increased in 2012 but decreased in 2013. Even though there is a decrease, the company is still profitable because it is generating enough money from its operations to pay for both variable and fixed costs. In general, the company’s profitability is improving as indicated by the increase in its profitability ratios (Kimmel et al 290). Efficiency ratios indicate how the company is managing its liabilities and using its assets to generate income. Fabrique AÃ ©rospatiale is relatively efficient in its operations. The debtor days increased from 59.33 days to 59.79 days in 2012, and further decreased considerably to 34.31days in 2013. This improvement in debtor days implies that the company’s efficiency in collecting its receivable increased (Kapil, 128). The company is, therefore, very liquid because it takes less time to collect its receivable hence increase in efficiency. Creditor days increased from 91.56 days to 97.5 days but decreased to 78.43 days. This indicates prompt payment to creditors. This reduction implies that the company is trying to take advantage of the discount that the suppliers is offering. Fabrique AÃ ©rospatiale is inefficient in managing its inventory. It has higher values of stock days that is not favourable for the business. Stock days increased from 134.21 days in 2011 to 142.5 day s in 2012 but decreased to 116.14 days in 2013. Even though the decrease is a good indicator, it is very minimal. The company has higher days’ inventory on hand. In terms of liquidity, Fabrique AÃ ©rospatiale is very liquid. Both its acid test ratio and current ratio have values greater that one for all the years. The company is able to meet its near-term

Jaws Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Jaws - Case Study Example C. jacchus and C. pygmaea exhibit longer masseter and temporalis muscles. They also have higher fiber to muscle mass ratio. They have a greater excursion potential of distal tendons hence the muscle can stretch further. The more fibres in C. Jacchus and C. Pygmaea lead to wider jaw gapes and hence can offer more power during gouging (Campbell 25). They also have shorter angle of pinnation, larger PCSA as well as a smaller proportion of tendons. S. Oedipus has a greater tendon proportion as compared to common marmoset masseter. Hence, S.oedipus has a lower muscle excursion and a lower contraction velocity leading to shorter stretching and hence smaller gapes. It also has a greater pinnation angle and a smaller PCSA. They, therefore, produce a smaller biting force as compared to C. jacchus and C. pygmaea. (Garber, Estrada, Heymann and Strier 208). Burrows and Nash (10), explains that the lateral pterygoid muscle in C. pygmaea and C. jacchus gives them a wider gape. They also found no difference in the anteroposterior ratios of both species. There is little to suggest that these mammals have undergone a reorganisation of the structures of the soft tissue. Kilgore et al (11) suggest that C. pygmaea, C. jacchus and S. oedipus have evolved significantly to adapt to their mode of feeding. Both the new literature cited and the course work books agree that C. pygmaea and C. jacchus are able to have a wider jaw gapes than S. oedipus. This has influenced their feeding habits as well as their diet. C. pygmaea and C. jacchus have a long mandible that enable it produce a stronger bite as the masseter and temporalis are longer as compared to the latter’s shorter that are short (Lord 56). Future clinical investigations should aim to establish whether muscles have an optimal length that, therefore, produces optimal biting force. Also, investigations should look into the positions of the stretched
